Connect with us…

In a world that demands perfection we feel pressured to keep our inner struggles locked away from those around us, making us feel more alone. Connect + Commune wants to end this cycle of loneliness and isolation by making everyone aware that we are going through similar problems.

Our Mission

Connect + Commune is a Mental Health Advocacy Organization that seeks to destigmatise Mental Health, provide support to people dealing with barriers to Mental Fitness, raise awareness around the Mental Health issues facing marginalised groups, and ultimately create a society that is more understanding and aware of the humanity of each individual.

Imagine you’re sitting at the doctor’s office in the waiting room. You make small talk with one of the other patients. They ask, “what are you in for?” You tell them; and it turns out their spouse went through the same thing. So they give you tips and tricks to ease your pain or help you recover comfortably while you’re getting treatment. Then another patient chimes in to share their experience too. You all then begin comparing doctors and recommending the treatment centers you like. The doctor hasn’t come in to see any of you yet; but you already feel more relaxed and reassured because you’ve met (connected) and talked (communed) with people that have shared the same experience. Now you don’t feel as anxious, confused or defeated. Because of them, you know that you’ll be ok and you’re not alone.

this is what Connect + Commune is all about!

We strive to bring these conversations out to public spaces so people can feel supported by like minded individuals and their community

Our Connect + Commune forums create spaces where the community can come together, interact and engage to further understand each other.
